If you are a Sea Fisherman you’ll know how important being able to Surfcast properly is. If you have ever wondered how some anglers seem to cast miles with very little effort this is the DVD for you. After 30 years thrashing about beach casting I eventually realised I had reached the limit of my technique. I tried more powerful and expensive rods but they were unmanageable and when ever I did hit it as hard as I could 9 times out of 10. I would end up cracking off (that’s when the reel lets out line too fast and in a fraction of a second you end up with a birds nest…well that’s the polite term). I was also endangering other anglers by not being in control, a 4 ounce lead weight travelling at these sorts of speeds is lethal! Determined to improve my casting skills and before I hurt someone I went in search of expert tuition and that’s how I met Dave Docwra. |

Are you interested in Family history? I am trying to get a regular UK Family history meeting going here on the Costa del Sol.. The idea of the group would be to get together and share hints and tips. We have been tracing our family tree for over three years and have devoted a website http://www.vaughanfamilytree.co.uk/ to help us reach other members of our family that are also tracing their ancestry. It satrted as a bit of a homework project with me helping my daughter but our interest in family history has let us to find many missing and previously unknown family members and would love to meet other family historians to compare notes and share tips. There was a beautiful young woman knocking on my hotel room door all night! I finally had to let her out. A car hit an elderly Jewish man. The paramedic says, "Are you comfortable?" The man says, "I make a good living." I just got back from a pleasure trip. I took my mother-in-law to the airport. I've been in love with the same woman for 49 years. If my wife ever finds out, she'll kill me! What are three words a woman never wants to hear when she's making love? "Honey, I'm home!" We always hold hands. If I let go, she shops. |

Culture
The view of Spaniards as relaxed people with a mañana attitude is, to varying degrees, beginning to change. The heat of southern areas, such as Andalusia, means the siesta is still very much a part of traditional Spanish life, but the cities are the hubs of 24/7 activity that you'll find all over Europe, Spaniards, of course, never loose their contagious knack for enjoying life. |
