Agreement on Gibraltar

After over 200 years of dispute Spain and England have, as expected finally reached an agreement over Gibraltar without getting bogged down over sovereignty.

Three-way talks that lasted 18 months opens up Gibraltar to airline flights from Spain and the rest of Europe. Flights to and from Madrid are expected to start in December.

New radio station for the Costa

September 2006 marked the launch of Coast and Country FM (CCFM) a new radio station broadcasting 94.2 FM here on the Costa del sol. Aimed at the British expat community CCFM has gone to great lengths to reach the inland community. Owner Ronan  Holdsworth launched the station at a Dinner dance at the Tamisa Golf Hotel earlier in the month.
